The online poker rooms often arrange poker tours as a method of advertising, bringing live poker to various locations around the work. This gives local players who are not able to travel the chance to play for big prizes. Pokerstars poker tours are well known in the industry, and widely anticipated by local poker players.

The Pokerstars poker tours have visited many locations across the world. Here we're going to be listing the up and coming tours, with links to further detailed information on each one. You can also find out about any future Pokerstars tours by visiting the Pokerstars main website.

PokerStars.com Launches UK and Ireland Poker Tour

Poker Stars have announced plans for a UK and Ireland poker tour. Known as the UKIPT, the tour will start in Galway, Ireland in the middle of December 2009. The first UK venue will be in Manchester in Feb 2010.

Other tour venues include Killarney and Dublin in Ireland, one location in Scotland, and UK stops at  Coventry, Nottingham, and Brighton in addition to Manchester. October 2010 will see the grand final in London.

Both pro and amateur players will be eligible, with a range of buy-ins to select from £500 to €2000. Entry will also be possible by winning one of the planned Pokerstars tournament satellites.

The UKIPT is the latest addition to the PokerStars poker tours family, complimenting the already announced European Poker Tour (EPT), Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT), and Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT).

Pokerstars also sponsor the Russian, Italian, Czech, and Australian-New Zealand Poker Tours.

As always, you can find additional info on Pokerstars poker tour plans and schedules by searching the popular search engines Google, Yahoo, or MSN/Bing.
